"Was at a two-day conference at King's House and needed a sweet treat. The first day I got a slice of raspberry coconut loaf cake...soooo good. The next day I tried a slice of the mango lime cake. It was also tasty. A friend shared a bite of the raspberry coconut crumble. It was very sweet. The staff behind the counter were friendly and helpful. The decaf flat white was good, as well as the hot chocolate. If you're ever in Bedford, I can recommend this cafe. There's plenty of inside seating."

"Lovely secluded open space, great atmosphere. Good quality hot and cold foods available. The coffee is made from high quality independently sourced beans. Only small point is that seeming as they have a small kitchen out back, the hot food menu could have a little more variety. Definitely visit if your passing through."

"Ground Floor Coffee Shop in Bedford is a lovely hidden gem inside King's House. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with plenty of comfy seating—perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. Their coffee, roasted locally by Wooden Hill Coffee Company, is excellent, and I love that they support tree planting in the Forest of Marston Vale. The food is fresh and tasty too—my pulled pork and apple sandwich was spot-on, and the cakes are all locally sourced. They also offer Teapigs teas, a loyalty card for regulars, and eco-friendly packaging. Whether you're staying a while or grabbing something via Uber Eats, it’s definitely worth checking out if you’re in Bedford."

Great cafe, excellent food choice, sandwiches, soups, range of drinks. Really enjoyed the pulled pork and apple sandwich, really nicely presented.
